Oracle’s Last Stand
It is with some real chagrin that this will be the last year that John and I will be attending the Berkshire Hathaway Shareholder’s Meeting to autograph copies of “The Oracle’s Fables”. In fact, John will be spending his Berkshire weekend directing firemen who are putting in their dock on a Minnesota lake far, far away. I also hope he’ll be also taking the time to enjoy a wee dram as he and Leigh watch a sunset over the lake.
Illustrator Tom Kerr will be there egging on BH guests to be the first to buy the last of our dwindling supply of hard copy books, and he’d be happy to sign one over for you.
Why would we stop selling you ask? After all, our title has been the top selling book since 2015, and we can now happily say that we have copies in 29 countries around the world. Other happy outcomes have been meeting amazing people from around the US and the world-genuinely nice people who have great stories to tell. The fact is that our knees, hips and assorted body parts have sought to remind us that we’re not getting any younger and there isn’t enough scotch or Advil to make old age go away.
We are humbled and genuinely thankful for everyone who has shown interest and/or purchased a copy of the book. If demand continues to be there we will be sure to have copies available for you after the 2023 BH Meeting (contact me at kerrtoons@gmail.com for more information).
Each fable John wrote was followed by a Warren Buffet quote, and I’d like to end with a quote from Doris Day:
“Gratitude is riches. Complaint is poverty“.
We are wealthy indeed.

This Sunday, November 25th, John Prescott and I will be signing copies of “The Oracle’s Fables” at the Joslyn Art Museum’s gift shop from 2-3 p.m.
